The meeting, held on 8 and 9 March 2018, brought together the facilitators and program managers of Private Literacy Operators (OPA) around the National Network of Private Operators for the Promotion of Literacy and Languages ​​( ReNOPAL). "The Ministry of Secondary Education, Technical and Vocational Training supports the activities of ReNOPAL and thanks you for the work that is done." With these words, Ahmed Nigan BIO, Director of Literacy and Promotion of National Languages, declared open this conclave of Beninese actors operating in the literacy sector in the afternoon of Thursday 8 March 2018. According to Franck Arnaud Sedjro, Executive Secretary of ReNOPAL, the objectives of these 48h of works are: 1) Support the field technicians to take ownership of the technical documents related to the implementation of the a better quality of the work that will be done; 2) To specify the content of the mandate of the private operators for the implementation of the new strategy and finally, 3) To specify the role of ReNOPAL within the framework of this mission. To justify the choice of the participants made up of the field actors contrary to the previous years, the ReNOPAL Executive Secretary thinks that it is important that they are imbued with the tools and the new methodology of actions in order to increase their performance on the field. ground. After presenting the content of the agenda of this meeting, the participants entered the heart of the matter. General overview of the work ... Three papers have furnished this meeting based on the participatory approach with an innovative approach. The first focused on "the monitoring and evaluation mechanism and the skills reference framework for literacy activities", led by Hassan Tenekah, expert consultant. In its communication, the latter focused on the content of the reference system in order to allow participants to take ownership of it since it has been in place since 2012. The second and third communications were the Ahmed Nigan BIO, Director of Literacy and Promotion of National Languages. They focused respectively on "quality standards in Literacy and Adult Education (AEA)" and on "the content of the mandate of the mission of the private operators and the methodological approach to the implementation of the strategy". In his first presentation, Ahmed Nigan BIO gave an overview of the standards in Literacy and Adult Education (AEA) by indicating the parameters, the inputs taken into account for the development of these standards before focus on the monitoring mechanism through the presentation of tools, structures and plan for monitoring quality standards. The last communication was an opportunity to look at the specifications of the six private literacy operators who were selected for this campaign to do 2017-2018. Each communication was punctuated with question and answer sessions that allowed each to identify the issues of this new campaign to do. Together, the participants stressed the need to work towards the harmonization of the national languages ​​used in order to constitute a written vocabulary for more objectivity.
